Keep in mind, Carroll Electric only distributes electricity and does not own or have operational control over any power plants or power generating facilities.

Carroll Electric purchases its wholesale power from Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corporation (AECC). AECC works directly with Southwest Power Pool (SPP) and the Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO), which are two Regional Transmission Organizations (RTOs) that pool power plant resources across multiple state regions.

AECC is also concerned about the Balance of Power.
