Carroll Electric went "On-the-Record" in March of 2021 to address accelerated concerns for the Bulk Power System.
In 2021 and again in 2022, Carroll Electric’s member-consumers overwhelmingly supported common-sense energy goals:
Keep in mind, Carroll Electric only distributes electricity and does not own or have operational control over any power plants or power generating facilities.
Carroll Electric purchases its wholesale power from Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corporation (AECC). AECC works directly with Southwest Power Pool (SPP) and the Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO), which are two Regional Transmission Organizations (RTOs) that pool power plant resources across multiple state regions.
AECC is also concerned about the Balance of Power.
